Born in North Carolina, I went on family vacations at Wrightsville Beach with my mother and sister. I remember that first experience with the ocean and the love affair that began with the coast. Later I lived in many parts of the world, but I must have had Carolina sand in my shoes. As legend has it, once you have that sand in your shoes, you are destined to return. I came home to this area 30 years ago.
After my children were grown, I attended graduate school at East Carolina University receiving a master's degree in social work in 1993. Since then I have provided services in the field psychotherapy in both Jacksonville and Wilmington.
My intention is to live and work here by the sea that provides me with spiritual nourishment and a sense of joy.
